Tommy Carter
For more than two decades, Tommy Carter has enjoyed real estate sales as an agent, a sales manager,
and a company owner.
Tommy joined Russell and Jeffcoat Realtors as a result of Russell & Jeffcoat’s acquisition of his company,
Carter Realtors. Carter’s 17 brokers and agents merged with Russell & Jeffcoat in December, 2005.
Russell & Jeffcoat Realtors is the largest independent real estate company in South Carolina.

Tommy firmly believes in providing real estate agents with all of the tools that they need to succeed. During
his 20-plus years in real estate, he has personally trained and coached hundreds of new and experienced
real estate agents to list and sell real estate. In addition, he is the author of several real estate training
books that continue to be sold nationwide through downloads on the Internet.
He is an active member of the Greater Columbia Association of Realtors and has been a member of the
Million Dollar Club. He has served on various committees including the Million Dollar Club and Public
Relations.
Prior to entering real estate, Tommy and his wife, Jennifer, owned a publishing company which published
three lifestyle magazines. The company also produced craft books, cook books, and other ancillary
publications.
Tommy holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia. He is married to real
estate sales associate, Jennifer Carter.
In real estate, Tommy favors direct mail over most forms of advertising, because prospects can be
targeted more efficiently. It is far more cost effective to mail your message to a few hundred qualified
prospects than to pay to reach 100,000 newspaper readers or television viewers who may or may not be
